It was based on this principle that A.Care was created, Amart Shipping’s program dedicated to employee care and well-being. The initiative aims to encourage healthier habits, expand access to information, and promote moments of awareness around topics that are part of people’s lives both inside and outside the workplace.
Throughout September, this commitment gained even greater visibility through initiatives related to Yellow September.
Mental Health Is a Year-Round Commitment
Yellow September is an important awareness campaign focused on mental health and suicide prevention. Beyond concentrating this conversation within a single month, initiatives like this help broaden the dialogue around emotions, support, active listening, and seeking help.
Recognizing what we feel, understanding our limits, and knowing when we need support are also essential aspects of taking care of our health. With this in mind, A.Care organized a special session with psychologist Evelaine Grace, who led the talk “Yellow September and the Dynamics of Emotions.”
During the session, employees were invited to reflect on how we deal with emotions in our daily lives, the importance of recognizing them, and the need to create environments where talking about feelings and asking for help become increasingly natural.
The aim was to encourage reflection on how small acts of listening, attention, and support can make a meaningful difference in relationships and in each person’s well-being.
Body in Motion, Mind in Balance
Taking care of our health also means taking care of our bodies.
That is why another A.Care initiative featured physiotherapist Lisandro Ceci, who led the talk “Smart Ergonomics: The Body Was Made to Move.”
The session addressed the importance of incorporating movement into our daily routines and understanding ergonomics as something that goes beyond maintaining the correct posture while sitting at a desk or working on a computer.
Our bodies were made to move, and small changes throughout the day can help prevent discomfort, encourage healthier routines, and improve quality of life.
During the talk, Lisandro also highlighted an essential connection: moving the body can directly contribute to emotional well-being and mental health. Physical activity, movement, and mindful breaks are all part of a broader set of habits that help us take care of our health as a whole.
A.Care: Taking a Holistic Approach to Employee Well-Being
The two talks addressed different topics, but they shared the same underlying idea: when it comes to well-being, body and mind should not be treated separately. This perspective is directly connected to the purpose of A.Care.
Through the program, Amart Shipping seeks to develop initiatives that bring information, prevention, awareness, and care into employees’ everyday routines.
For us, promoting quality of life also means encouraging important conversations, inviting qualified professionals to share their knowledge, and creating opportunities for each person to pay closer attention to their own health.
Caring Is Also Part of Our Culture
Campaigns such as Yellow September are important opportunities to reinforce messages that should not end when the month is over. Mental health, physical well-being, movement, balance, and support are topics that need to remain present throughout the entire year.
A.Care represents Amart Shipping’s ongoing commitment to making care an integral part of our company culture and recognizing that behind every operation, process, and result, there are people. And taking care of them also means taking care of our future.
