Port of
Santarém
Located in the city of Santarém, in the state of Pará, the Port of Santarém occupies a strategic position at the confluence of the Tapajós and Amazon rivers. Situated at Ponta do Salé, approximately 876 km from Belém by river, the port stands out as one of the main routes for the outflow of agricultural production from the Brazilian Midwest towards international markets, through the so-called Northern Arc.
Its infrastructure is directly connected to the BR-163 (Cuiabá-Santarém) and BR-230 (Trans-Amazonian Highway) highways, in addition to allowing river and sea access both through the mouth of the Pará River and the northern mouth of the Amazon River. This location facilitates the integration between road and waterway transport modes, optimizing cargo transportation with efficiency and speed.
With a land area of approximately 498,000 m², the Port of Santarém has paved and illuminated roads, prepared to support medium and large-scale logistics operations. Its berthing structure consists of eight distinct facilities, including piers, mooring dolphins, a river quay, a solid bulk terminal, three liquid bulk terminals, and a road-river ramp (Ro-Ro).
