Even with a short deadline, we set a goal of 10 pieces per person, and the result was better than expected! Overcoming the initial target was having 49 articles per person, and thanks to the support of family, friends, neighbors, and many others, we managed to make a great collection!
We had the participation of employees and together were collected 1043 pieces of warm clothing! In addition, in cities where the temperature is milder, we chose to extend the action by collecting clothing such as shirts, pants, and other items to help those in need.
Our team did not stop there! The campaign grew and had donations made by the Board. They decided to donate a portion of resources to institutions in each city to help with food baskets and infrastructure improvements.
The benefited institutions were:
São Francisco do Sul (SC): São Francisco do Sul City Hall (social assistance)
São Luís (MA): Pastoral Children& Orphanage
Rio Grande (RS): Municipal Bank of Agasalho / Casa do Menor Orphanage
Paranaguá (PR): Vila Santa Maria Association / Institution Honorina Valente Salvation Army / Children Home
Santos (SP): Santos Social Solidarity Fund / Mother Alix crèche
I understand that Ayslan initiative in promoting the campaign was very positive. The team involvement as a whole was surprising and showed us the spirit of solidarity of each employee, we, the executive directors, just kickoff. The engagement, the collection, the choice of charity were a massive initiative of each employee.
It was great to see everyone involved in this campaign.
Which, as we said, was just a kickoff. We will continue to encourage noble and human gestures like this one. Says José Ricardo Barbosa - General Director of Amart Shipping.
