Excellent news! According to consultancy StoneX, Fertilizer deliveries in Brazil are expected to grow 6% this year, to a record 41.80 million tons, stimulated by the prospect of a record grain harvest in 2020/21 and by the high level of commodity prices, which leaves more capitalized producers.
StoneX estimates that in 2020 demand will have advanced 8.8% to reach the mark of 39.42 million tons of NPK delivered to farmers. This projection was based on the broad level of early commercialization of the input and strong imports during the first months of the year.
In January alone, the fertilizer market sold a record 40% of the expected volume for the entire year in Brazil, said Mosaic Fertilizantes commercial vice president, Eduardo Monteiro, last month.
